From the time we first started going to Kaw Prairie, Joshua has been in the Preschool class, which is pretty much three- and four-year-olds. So he's been in it for two years, and the whole time he's had Miss Diane as his main teacher. When Clara turned three last fall, she joined him, so they have been in the same class for the past year. But next week is Promotion Sunday, which means every kid eligible to do so will move up. Joshua qualifies for the Pre-K class, so he will be in that class starting next week, which means today is his last day with Miss Diane (and also Miss Cheryl, who is the one on the left in the picture). She has loved having him in her class, as he's been such a big helper, especially this past year when half the class was younger, and he helped to lead some of the activities for the class. He also was excited to volunteer to grab the push vacuum and help clean up even when no one asked him to do it. So he'll be moving up to Pre-K next week, but Clara will stay another year with Miss Diane, and she will get to be one of the big kids this time, as a crop of younger kids will be joining her and the other holdovers next week.
