Miss Three!

Hannah turned three a few days ago. She has gotten so big all of a sudden. She is 26.5 lbs and 36 inches. I thought she might have gotten taller because her feet grew a massive amount in the past six months (like two sizes). But I was surprised that she has actually grown two inches in just six months. That's a lot for her. Besides her physical growth, it's been really interesting to see her development recently. She has complex thoughts now. Recently she dripped water on the floor and I told her to get a towel to wipe it up. She thought about it and said, "Mom, how can I wipe it up, if the towel is over there?" Which actually is a very simple problem to solve by moving the towel, but it just shows her ability to think about what she needs to do to accomplish a task and think about any obstacles in her way. She also has a rich imaginary life, especially with Chicken Baby, but with her other toys too. It is adorable to see her eat her snacks because she always shares with Baby. She loves being ornery and silly and gross with Joshua and playing with both siblings. She overall doesn't love being alone, but she does really enjoy our time together on Monday and Wednesday mornings when the big kids are in school. We usually go shopping (which she loves) and then we have some time at home. Usually she chooses to watch Dora, and she seems so happy just to be able to watch Dora in peace (Joshua does not like Dora and always protests it when he's there) and eat her snack with Baby. She still loves almost any book, but also likes sand a lot of late. She adds so much to our family and we just love her!
