Happy Birthday Hannah!

Today Hannah turned three. She woke up to a decorated door, but she also had a bit of a fever so we kept her home rather than sending her to Ron and Peg's as planned.

The fever didn't really phase her and she was totally pumped to wear her birthday outfit.

Though it was a little bit hard to have her home because Jason and I were working hard to move her room and completely redo it. It worked out though because she isn't very suspicious so she didn't ask a lot of questions about what was going on. Plus I took her shopping for things for her new room and she liked things I wouldn't have picked and had really strong negative opinions on things I liked. She also got a bonus chicken nuggets meal at lunch.

After the other kids got home, we started the celebration. We had a Dora themed birthday.

Her first gift was a backpack for school with Map in it.  On the show, Map tells Dora the three things she needs to do to accomplish her goal.  So, modeling that, Hannah's map told her that to have a happy birthday, she first needed to eat dinner, then go to Joshua's room, and then it would be her birthday. She was really excited about the backpack.

So much so that she wore it while she ate her favorite food for dinner, which is chicken mcnuggets from McDonalds.
Then we went to Joshua's room, which surprisingly to the kids, wasn't Joshua's room anymore. Hannah now has her very own Princess room. She was really excited about it.

After the room reveal, we opened presents. Swiper tried to swipe Baby's cape.

Her favorite gift was ballet slippers. She was really wanting some because Clara got some for actual ballet class. These are just for play and she was really excited to get them.

Next we had cake. I think I will stick with cupcakes going forward for Hannah as she really only liked the frosting.

It was a fun birthday for our newest three-year-old.
