Part of my mom's Christmas present to the kids was a magazine called "High Five" which is Highlights magazine for younger kids. I told her I wasn't sure how it would go because my kids don't know mail is a thing so they wouldn't be excited about that aspect of it and you never know if they will like any given type of reading material. Joshua has no interest in this magazine. Hannah has a small amount of interest, but is really too young for it still. Clara, though loves it. We keep it at the table so she likes to read it while she eats, just like mom and dad read the paper. It's definitely a big hit with her and she especially likes the hidden pictures. It also gives her a new way to stall, which as a girl who doesn't love to eat, she can never have too many ways to put off eating.
