Our Quiet Little Church Girl

Our church allows the younger children to stay in the sanctuary with the parents for the first part of the service before going back to their classroom after communion.  But the kids do have the option of going to their rooms even before the service starts.  Joshua and Clara have both at times expressed interest in staying with us in "big church" for the first part, but each time they didn't seem very happy, and after a couple times they both decided they would rather just be in their class the whole time.  We used to do the same with Hannah, but when she got her taste of "big church", she loved it.  In fact, she loved it so much, that she didn't even want to go back to her class at the normal time.  She wanted to stay with us the whole time, so we decided to try it.  It's gone really well.  While the other two fidgeted and climbed around and crawled on the floor and talked, Hannah does nothing like that.  She likes to either sit in one of our laps or in her own chair.  She'll just sit quietly for the entire service, either somewhat paying attention to what's going on, or else looking around or thinking to herself quietly.  They do have donuts available some days, and she very much insists on sharing with us if we're having one.  The church also provides small baggies of Cheerios, so we usually give her those to munch on as well.  She never makes a sound and never fusses and never moves around very much at all.  She just sits quietly and nicely for the entire service.  So we intend to let her continue to do that until she's old enough to go to Joshua and Clara's class (which is actually more like a class with activities and lessons, whereas the class she would go to is more of a babysitting room) or if she is no longer being such a good girl like she is now.
